Our Promise to You

While our operational guidelines are reviewed and updated periodically, our relationship with you is what matters most. We are not a mass-produced, big-box brand with automated, rigid corporate policies. We treat our customers as partners. If an unexpected issue ever arises, please know that we review every situation on a case-by-case basis and will go above and beyond to always do right by our customers.

Studio Care, Shipping & Warranty Guidelines

1. The Art of Bespoke Furniture: What to Expect

Every piece we create is custom-made to order, crafted from living materials by skilled hands. We believe the true beauty of high-end furniture lies in its individuality, which makes your piece entirely unique.

1.1 The Handcrafted Experience

We craft our furniture using premium solid American hardwood. Natural variations in tone, grain, character marks, and texture are not flaws; they are the fingerprint of the tree and a testament to the authenticity of your piece.

1.2 Artisan Freedom at the Workbench

Because our furniture is fully handcrafted rather than stamped out by machines, our craftspeople may exercise a degree of artistic freedom at the workbench to best showcase the wood’s organic character. These intentional, subtle variations celebrate manual craftsmanship and ensure your piece is a singular work of art.

1.3 Natural Manageability & True Size

Solid wood is a dynamic, living material. Due to its natural workability and structural integrity, final dimensions may, in rare cases, vary slightly from the standard item description. If your space requires absolute precision down to the millimeter, simply let us know during the design process so we can explicitly note and lock in those dimensions together.

1.4 Digital Renderings, AI, and True Beauty

To help bring your vision to life, we often use conceptual sketches, electronic artistic renderings, or AI-assisted visualizations. While these digital tools are wonderful for inspiration, they simply cannot replicate the deep, tactile richness and warmth of a finished piece of natural wood. The physical item you receive will always possess an authentic beauty that technology cannot match.

2. Order Management & Tailored Timelines

Because we commit specialized labor, studio space, and select lumber to your project the moment an order is confirmed, we operate on a custom-tier framework rather than a mass-retail model.

2.1 Our Made-to-Order Process

Once your design is finalized and production or material procurement begins, deposits and progress payments secure your place in our workshop line. Because every piece is custom-built for you, orders are considered a commitment and are generally non-refundable and final sale. However, as noted in our promise above, if your project circumstances change unexpectedly, please reach out to us so we can discuss the best way to support you.

2.2 Timelines and Craftsmanship

We understand that your project timelines are incredibly important. Because we refuse to rush the craftsmanship or curing process, lead times may occasionally shift based on design complexity or raw material availability. Your sales representative will keep you updated throughout the process so you always know how your piece is progressing.

3. Dedicated Shipping & Logistics

We treat the journey of your furniture with the same precision and care that goes into building it.

3.1 Seamless Logistics Coordination

We coordinate domestic shipping across the continental United States and Canada. For our international clients, we are happy to help facilitate the handoff and documentation between you and your preferred international carrier to ensure a smooth global journey.

3.2 Tailored, Protective Packaging

Because our pieces are investment-grade items, we do not rely on standard cardboard boxes for large furniture.

  • Custom Wooden Crates: Most furniture pieces travel via specialized freight networks, safely secured inside custom-made, purpose-built wooden crates engineered specifically for your order.

  • Smaller Accent Items: For smaller accessories or components, we utilize premium, high-durability packaging with dense internal cushioning to guarantee absolute protection.

3.3 Costs & Carrier Care

Shipping costs are calculated transparently on a case-by-case basis during the purchasing process. While third-party carrier transit times and roadside handling are technically outside our studio's direct control, we work exclusively with vetted, high-quality freight networks. We will gladly stand by your side and coordinate directly with your preferred logistics company to help manage the delivery process.

3.4 What to Do If Damage Occurs

We take extraordinary care in packaging your order. In the rare event that a carrier mishandles your shipment resulting in structural damage, please take photos and notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We will immediately step in to review the issue and work swiftly to repair, replace, or resolve the situation fairly.

4. Product Care & Lifetime Warranty Support

4.1 Our Commitment to Quality

Our warranty reflects the premium nature of bespoke woodworking. Atelier Jorn warrants all products to be free from defects in materials and structural workmanship at the time of delivery. If you ever experience a structural concern, contact us immediately. We don't hide behind corporate red tape—we look at every scenario individually to ensure a fair, helpful, and premium path forward.

4.2 Living Wood & Natural Movement

All of our timber undergoes a careful air- and kiln-drying process to stabilize it. However, because wood is an organic material, it will continue to breathe and respond to its environment. Minor shifts, hairline splitting, or slight expansion due to changes in seasonal humidity and temperature are normal, healthy characteristics of solid wood.

4.3 Caring for Your Investment

To preserve the generational longevity and natural luster of your furniture, each order includes straightforward care instructions. Loving maintenance ensures your piece ages beautifully and keeps your lifetime studio support fully active.
